Russian Orthodox Choral Master Class!

Come experience the joy and grandeur of the Russian Sacred Choral Tradition. 

A mixed choir and conductor’s class titled “Ancient Spirituality, Living Voices” will be offered by the Patriarch Tikhon Russian American Institute [PaTRAM] at Saint Tikhon’s Monastery and Seminary, June 30- July 3, 2014.

The class will be under the direction PaTRAM’s Artistic Director, acclaimed Moscow Maestro, Vladimir Gorbik.  In addition, Igumen Sergius, Abbot of Saint Tikhon’s Monastery, will offer daily talks on the spiritual importance of church singing.  Hence, the program will not only focus on technical training in the area of liturgical music, but serve as a spiritual retreat.

Following the program, participants are invited to participate in a pilgrimage to nearby Taylor, PA for a private visit to venerate two miraculous, myrrh-streaming icons of the Mother of God at Saint George Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church.
