University of Toronto Choral Conducting Symposium registration deadline updated to June 5, 2014
Date: May 19, 2014
Location: Ontario, Canada
The third annual choral conducting symposium at the University of Toronto is accepting registrations from choral musicians who lead school, community and/or church choirs and want to engage in a rejuvenating four and a half days in Toronto this summer. Tim Sharp will conduct the Directors' Chorus involving all participants; lead daily masterclasses (registration for those is now full); and present sessions on choral leadership and future directions.
Professors Lori-Anne Dolloff and Hilary Apfelstadt will present sessions on community singing, rehearsal strategies, and conducting technique. Soprano Elizabeth MacDonald will discuss vocal health and offer individual consults for all participants.
Representatives from Music Plus Corporation will be on hand with music and other materials for sale on Monday and Tuesday of the symposium.
Come and be inspired as you interact with choral colleagues in one of Canada's most exciting cultural centres.
Because the original registration date falls on a Sunday, we are revising this to Thursday, June 5. You may email/scan/fax or mail your registration information.
