Credo pieces in English

Can anyone recommend a true "Credo" type piece (i.e. based on the Apostle's or Nicene Creed) that is in English?

Try going to any of the big Romantic/post-Romantic Anglican service settings: Harold Darke, Herbert Sumsion, CV Stanford, Edward Bairstow, Herbert Howells...

I believe the "Credo" movement from Robert Ray's "Gospel Mass" is available as an individual octavo.

Ms. Grotenluis,

I have just set every word of the Nicene Creed for solos soprano and organ (dur. 7 minutes).  It is in Latin, so I am not sure if it would suit you or not.  I was planning to have an English text printed in the bulletin on the Sunday when it is shared.  It was created as a special piece for Trinity Sunday but is also part of a larger mass I am wriiting.

I have a midii MP3 available and a PDF (score- Finale).

I am hoping to orchestrate it in the future.  What kind of accompaniment is ideal for you?  If you are interested, perhaps I can adapt the piece for you adn will see if I can make English work.

Good luck to you! ~ Heather Seaton
