City of Angels

Have any of you dealt with producing the musical "City of Angels" in a high school settng? I love the story, score, the technical side is a concern. All input is welcome.

The music is wonderful, but extremely challenging.  Lots of close harmony - like the Four Freshmen and New York Voices had a child.  I love the show, though.  It's one of my all time favorites.  The tech stuff requires a split stage with completely different lighting for each side, which is a real challenge.

I absolutely love this show!  An honest-to-God jazz score.  Won 6 Tonys and 8 Drama Desk Awards!  Have seen it twice and have both the B'way and London cast CD's, the latter of which beats the former by a country mile!  If you have four hot singers to carry off that "Greek chorus" quartet, go for it.  And if I were one of your stiudents, I gladly be your "Buddy."  What a role!  Hope you can pull it off.  Break a leg!
