Repertoire Post Easter

Things got a little tight around Easter.  We rehearse on Sunday so no rehearsal Easter Day puts us behind.  We ended up revisiting some standards of our repertoire. Here's what we did the past two weeks:

Lord of the Universe by Stan Pethel and Julie Myers SATB and Piano http://www.jwpepper.com/Lord-of-the-Universe/10080733.item

I Will Rjoice and be Glad by Joseph Martin SAB optional SATB and piano http://www.jwpepper.com/I-Will-Rejoice-and-Be-Glad/1944248.item#.U4OzSpRdWSc

Both are a 2-3 of 5 in difficulty and very worthwhile pieces.  Lord of the Universe is my choir's favorite piece of the year.

What have you all been up to?

Here is a snapshot of the concluding weeks of our choir season:

4/27 - Sound the Trumpet - Purcell - Children's choir
5/4 - Praise The Lord - Handel - SAB version
5/11 - My Shepherd Will Supply... Virgil Thompson - SATB (always a parish favorite)
5/18 - If ye Love Me - Tallis (cannot go wrong with that one!
5/25 - Alleluia - Bach - easy 2 part version from one of his Christmas cantatas (usually a smaller crowd on Memorial Day weekend)
Ascension Day and 6/1 - Ascendit Deus - Ferdinand Schaller, I think (CPDL)
6/8 - I Will Sing with the Spirit - Rutter - Children's choir (Pentecost Sunday)

Lot's of music on my Choirmaster Bucket List (still) but there's always next season.
