Choral Conducting Symposium w/ Vance George and Sharon Paul - West Chester University, PA - July 21-25

West Chester University is pleased to announce their 2014 Choral Conducting Symposium with guest clinicians Vance George, Director Emeritus of the San Francisco Symphony Chorus, and Sharon Paul, Director of Choral Activities at the University of Oregon, to be held on the WCU campus July 21-25.
The symposium features conducting, repertoire, and score study sessions offered by the guest clinicians and WCU host faculty David DeVenney and Ryan Kelly. The large work to be studied this week will be Mozart’s Requiem (the final Mozart session will be accompanied by chamber orchestra), and repertoire sessions will focus on works accessible to most high school, community chorus, and church music programs.
One may register as a “conducting participant” or “observing participant,” and the Symposium can be taken for PA Act 48 credit or for 3 graduate credits if desired. Registration is now open.
