Below is information on the 2nd benefit concert.  If you are a teacher/director that has been waving your arms all year and might enjoy an outlet to sing a bit, this may be the answer.  Last year's concert generated over $2,000 for the chosen charitable organization.  Music performed comes from both sacred and secular literature. If you are interested in joining the collective choir for this year's benefit concert or you have additional questions, give me a shout with some contact information or send directly to rolfmoan@sbcglobal.net.  You also can connect with the church if you like.
Rehearsals will begin on June 16th and run every other week.  Hope you can help us help ELIM this Year.

Faith United Methodist Church of Orland Park will host the 2nd Annual Summer Singspiration Benefit Concert in the church Sanctuary on Sunday, August 17th at 3 PM.  Last years’ success in the first year prompted the church to re-up for a second year of providing a great outlet for singers from the area to bring their talents to bear for a great cause.  Proceeds of a free will offering this year will be donated to ELIM, a non profit organization whose  mission is to equip individuals with disabilities to achieve their highest God-given potential so they may live their lives glorifying Him!

Each day, over 800 individuals with disabilities turn to ELIM for educational, vocational, and therapeutic programming. Over 400 staff members serve these children and adults on one of ELIM’S two campuses or within one of the 20 Discovery Centers located within partnering Christian schools nationwide.

The church Chancel Choir is inviting anyone from the community to join us in a mass combined chorus to perform at the concert.  The 1st rehearsal for the combined chorus will be held on Monday, June 16th at 7:30 PM at the church.  The address is 15101 80th Ave.  Orland Park.  The concert will include a section of sacred as well as Broadway and popular literature.  The choir will again be directed by Rolf Moan, long time choral director both at Stagg High School, as well as Chancel Choir Director at Orland Park and now Faith UMC.

Interested singers are encouraged to contact the church office by phone or email to allow preparation for the number of singers expected on the June 16 as well as answer any questions there may be..  Come enjoy singing some great literature whether you are a church, school or community choir member; or are looking for an outlet to get back to the world of singing in a choir.
