ACDA Leadership Gathers in Salt Lake City
Date: June 10, 2014
At any given moment, there are approximately 1,400 people in leadership roles within the ranks of the American Choral Directors Association. In early June, 150 of those dedicated individuals met in Salt Lake City for several days of training, informative sessions and brainstorming meetings. During their visit to Utah, they also had the chance to see some of the venues planned for the 2015 National Conference.
The attendees at the 2014 ACDA Leadership Conference included state & divisional presidents and presidents-elect, the Choral Journal Editorial Board, the Research & Publications Committee, the Education Technology Committee, the National Board of Directors, and the Executive Committee.
“There was great, positive energy for everything that was discussed throughout the weekend,” said Karen Fulmer, ACDA’s National President. “The interactions between people were incredibly upbeat as they thought of creative ways to apply ACDA’s programs in their states and divisions. We have outstanding leaders who are engaged and willing to lead.”
Leadership opportunities in the American Choral Directors Association are available to any Active or Life member, and include both elective and appointive offices. LEARN MORE about ACDA governance and leadership positions.
