Provide musical leadership to the EPC Chancel Choir during the two semesters of its singing season.
                Semester 1:  August - December              Semester 2:  January - May         40-42 weeks/year
Attend all scheduled rehearsals, Sunday worship services, and additional seasonal services as requested by the director of music.  Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 7:30 – 9:00.  Sunday morning worship begins at 11:00 with a 10:30 call for the choir.  Additional services may include, but are not limited to: Advent Lessons and Carols, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, concerts.
Serve as soloist or in a small ensemble as requested by the director of music.
Be a model of professionalism, punctuality, and musical excellence to the other choir members.
Build positive relationships with other choir members and work to develop their musical skills.
If an absence is required, communicate with the director of music well in advance and work to find a substitute.
Excellent vocal technique: 
Consistent and relaxed tone, good range, degree in vocal performance desired.
Excellent musicianship:
Sight-reading, intonation, ensemble sense, stylistic awareness, familiarity with IPA
Being part of a community of wonderful people who love to sing

Summer break
$75 weekly compensation (one rehearsal and one service = $37.50 per call)

- A conversation with the director of music
- Singing, unaccompanied, a 2-3 minute excerpt of your choice that demonstrates your vocal ability. 
   This could be from choral or solo repertoire, and English, Latin, German or Italian is acceptable.
