I am an avid choral music lover and a proud alumni of Michael L. Ehrlich's astonishingly high-caliber high school choral program. In my six years of secondary school chorus I participated in four local District Chorus events, VMEA Senior Honors Choir, and the VMEA Women's All-State Choir as well as singing in the highest level choirs at my schools and joinging them on trips to such incredible performance venues as The Kennedy Center, The University of Delaware, Disney World, Williamsburg, New York City and the ACDA Southern Division Conference in Winston-Salem. I also studied voice for three years with Laurie Nelson and participated in my high school's acapella groups and various church choirs.
I currently study English and sing in multiple choirs at The University of Mary Washingston as well as the local Episcopal church's choir.
Some of my all-time favourite choral pieces include Hatfield's Las Amarillas, Holst's and Hawley's Ave Marias, Dickau's In Time of Daffodils and There Will Be Rest, Debussy's Salut Printemps, Rist's Invictus, Christensen's How Do I Love Thee, Hogan's Battle of Jericho and I Can Tell the World, Lauridsen's O Nata Lux, and many many more. Favourite composers/arrangers include David Dickau, Morten Lauridsen, Susan LaBarr, Moses Hogan, Stephen Hatfield and Giuseppe Verdi.
