Board President for the Lebanon Community Chorus in Lebanon, Oregon.
The Lebanon Community Chorus is a mixed-voice (SATB) chorus, open to men and women of all ages who enjoy singing, and no auditions are required. The Chorus performs two concerts per year, a Winter Concert (Classical) in December and a Spring Concert (Pops) in April/May.
We are a non-profit group, and a portion of the proceeds from our concerts are directed to a program we have created with the Lebanon Schools Foundation to benefit music education in our local schools. The Lebanon Schools Foundation is a nonprofit organization established in 1997 by an independent group of community members. Their aim is to benefit children of the Lebanon school district by supporting and enhancing their educational experience. Our collaboration allows the Foundation to offer grants to certified music teachers in the Lebanon school district. These grants will be for music specialists working with the music teachers or collaborating on music activities in the classrooms. Grants will also be available to high school vocal music students who are sponsored by a district music teacher to attend specialized trainings or events.
