I was selected to serve as Student Conductor senior year in 1965 and conducted at the New York World's Fair. After graduation I studied voice and conducting at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey from 1965 - 1969, performing with the American Symphony, New York Symphony, and Philadelphia Orchestra. While at Westminster I sang several performances with the Philadelphia Singers under founder Michael Korn. I earned my bachelor of music education in 1969. I moved to Canton, Ohio and served as Director of Vocal Music at Glenwood/GlenOak High School from 1969 to 1978. During this time I attended Saratoga-Potsdam Choral Institute in Saratoga Springs, New York summers from 1972 - 1977, performing with the Philadelphia Orchestra. I also served as Choir Director for First Evangelical Lutheran Church from 1972 - 1978. While in Canton I sang with the AGO Festival Choir and the Canton Community Chorus at Malone College. In 1978 I moved to Hightstown, New Jersey to serve as Director of Music at the Peddie School from 1978 - 1984.
