Shelly is beginning her 29th year of music education. A 1984 graduate of Viterbo University, LaCrosse WI, Shelly has taught K-12 vocal, instrumental and general music in Wisconsin and Montana. She has also directed church choirs in Minnesota. Shelly was awarded the 1998 Teacher of the Year Award from the Cooperative Educational Services Agency 9 in Wisconsin for her work with integrating music into the curriculum of cognitively disabled students. Shelly is beginning her seventh year as director of choral music for Eureka Public Schools in Eureka MT. Shelly teaches choirs in grades 6-12. Shelly is a member of Lincoln County High School's Leadership Team and TRIAD Technology Training Team. She is a recent recipient of a Technology for Teachers grant from Qwest Communications to infuse technology into the high school's music class offerings. In July, Shelly became a Certified Health Coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. She also teaches private voice, piano, and guitar in her home studio.
Shelly is married to Ken Clark, and they have one adult daughter, Corey. When she is not involved in choral music, Shelly enjoys playing and listening to smooth jazz, playing fantasy football (Go Packers!), and working in her garden and yard along the Whitefish Range of the Rocky Mountains.
