Sharon Lee is the founder, conductor, and manager of The Region Summer Choirs. She is a 5th year Music Education student at Ball State University, where she is completing the K-12 Vocal, Instrumental, and General Music degrees. She is also an active church musician, singing on Celebration Praise Team at First Presbyterian Church in Muncie, as well as playing piano and flute upon request at other churches. Upon graduation next December, she intends to teach middle school choir and general music. Her goal with the Summer Choirs is to provide a place for all who wish to be involved in choral music - choir members, current and future Music Education students, accompanists, and area directors - a place to make great music, gain experience, and serve the community.

The Region Summer Choir is a set of choirs under the direction of Sharon Lee. Based in Munster, Indiana, the group is comprised of high school and college students, as well as adults in the area. In the summer of 2011, a Youth Choir comprised of 6th-8th grade students will be started. The choirs rehearse once a week during the summer, give performances at a local retirement/nursing center, and give a concert at the end of the summer. The group was accepted to sing with Eric Whitacre through Distinguished Concerts International, New York (DCINY), and several members sang in the Chicago premier of Whitacre's "Paradise Lost" this March.
