My name is Andrew Cumbow. I am origionally from Bristol, TN where I graduated from King College (now King University) with a dual degree in music education and music: vocal performance. While at King I worked as the Music Department's Work-study assistant. I also had the opportunity to be a student conductor for the choirs at King 15 times, which lead me to my pursuit as a choral director. I spent four years as the choir director at a local Presbyterian church and three years teaching general music and 8th grade choir at the local school system before moving on to my graduate work in Choral Conducting.
I am currently a graduate student at the Townsend School of Music at Mercer University in Macon GA starting in the Fall of 2014. I am pursuing an MM in Choral Conducting with Emphasis in Church Music. I also serve as the choir director/music minister at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Snellville, GA where I am in charge of the 20 voice chancel choir, a children's choir/literacy class, and handbell choir.
