Conductor Ryan Goessl (지휘자 라이언 게슬)

Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) Candidate in Choral Conducting (Hansei University). Master of Music (University of Southern California), Bachelor of Arts in Music (Luther College), Seagle Music Colony, Brevard Music Center, Cedar Rapids Young Artists Program.  Ryan has studied conducting with EuiJoong Yoon (윤의중), Dr. Timothy Peter, and Dr. Daniel Baldwin alongside ofstudying choral technique, interpretation, conducting, and choral methods with his mentor, Weston Noble.  He has studied voice with Nina Hinson, Shigemi Matsumoto, Stephen Lusmann and Susan Williams.

As an active conductor (choral and orchestra), voice instructor, and soloist, having performed within the U.S.A, Northern Europe, and Korea, both as a soloist and with choirs, Mr. Goessl has been praised for his attention to detail, styling, and authenticity to musical periods.  Mr. Goessl is the conductor of the Camarata Music Company's "Chorale" and the auditioned "Chamber Singers", which is receiving acclaim as one of the premiere up and coming choirs in Korea, having performed concerts at venues such as the Seoul Arts Center, Hoam Art Hall, embassy engagements, and the Korean President's House (Blue House).  Mr. Goessl is also the conductor of the CMC Orchestra, Korea Herald Children's Choirs, and the Seoul International School's Men's Choir.

Most recent performances include: Mendelssohn's Elijah, Mozart's Requiem, Numerous concerts of Handel's Messiah, Quintana’s Mass from Two Worlds,  Brahms' Liebeslieder Walzer, Neue Liebeslieder Walzer, Duruflé’s Requiem, Fauré’s Requiem, American Musical Theater Recital (Youngsan Art Hall),Vaughan Williams' Five Mystical Songs, Arts Embassy Performances, and numerous operas and musicals.

Mr. Goessl is a member of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), the Korean organization of British/American Song Association (영미가곡연구회), Korea Federation of Choral Music (KFCM), National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), Korea International Music Educators Association (KIMEA), and the Wisconsin School Music Association (WSMA).

라이언 게슬은 Seagle Music Colony, Brevard Music Center, Cedar Rapids Young Artists Program 등의 프로그램들을 거치며 Luther College 음악 학사와 USC 음악 석사 학위를 취득하였다. 현재, 한세대학교 음악대학에서 윤의중 교수와 수학하며 합창지휘 박사과정을 밟고있다. 세계적 합창 지휘자인 Tim Peter 와 Weston Noble 아래서 합창과 지휘 기법을 수학한 바 있고, Nina Hinson에게 성악을 사사했다.

합창 및 오케스트라 지휘자, 성악 강사, 솔로이스트로 왕성하게 활동하고 있는 라이언 게슬은 미국, 북유럽, 한국 등지에서 솔로 또는 단원으로 공연하였으며, 섬세한 스타일링과 진정성 있는 시대적 곡 해석으로 좋은 평가를 받고있다.  그는 Camarata Music Company 의 합창단 및 챔버 싱어즈의 지휘를 맏고 있다. 한국에서 떠오르는 최고의 합창단 중 하나라는 찬사를 받고 있는 챔버 싱어즈는 예술의전당, 호암아트홀, 대사관저, 청와대 등 에서 많은 공연을 펼치고 있다.  

게슬은 또한 카마라타 오케스트라, 코리아 헤럴드 어린이 합창단, 그리고 서울국제학교 남성합창단의 지휘를 맡고 있다. 

최근 연주활동으로는 청와대 공연과 예술의 전당 공연이 있으며 작품으로는 모짜르트의 “레퀴엠”, 헨델의 “메시아”, 퀸타나의 “두 개의 세상 중 미사곡”, 브람스의 “사랑의 노래 왈츠”와 “왈츠에 붙인 새로운 사랑의 노래”, 뒤르플레의 “레퀴엠”, 포레의 “레퀴엠”, 미국 뮤지컬 리사이틀 (영산아트홀), 본 윌리암스의 “다섯곡의 신비한 노래들", Arts Embassy 공연,  그리고 다수의 오페라 및 뮤지컬 곡 등이 있다.  

게슬은 미국합창지휘자협회 (ACDA), 영미가곡연구회, 한국합창총연합회 (KFCM), 미국성악교사연합회 (NATS), 주한외국인음악교사협회 (KIMEA), 위스콘신음악학교협회 (WSMA)의 멤버이다.
