Currently directing UTD Community Chorale and Voice Class at UT at Dallas.
Over 19 years experience directing choirs of all age levels in churches, public schools, and volunteer organizations.Conducted 100+ member choir accompanied by orchestras consisting of Dallas Symphony personnel in Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Handel’s Messiah, aworld premiere of Paul Lindley Thomas’ The Coming of Christ. Prepared two anthems composed by Bob Chilcott, formerly of the King’s Singers, for the composer to conduct their world premiere.
Founder and Artistic Director of Master Chorale of Dallasconsisting of 25 professional and amateur adult singers. Conducted the choir in successful Christmas, Easter and secular programs which were high praised.
Strong Church Music Experience. Over 13 years experience as a director of adult and youth church choirs in Baptist, Methodist, and Reform Judaism faiths using a wide variety of musical styles from gospel to classical music to meet the needs of the congregants. Understands what is needed to minister to the choir members, to adapt the worship needs of the congregation, and to grow the music program in a major church.
Voice Teachertaught a wide variety of voice students in a Community College and University setting and in voice class and a private studios where even those who were not vocally gifted were diligently and patiently coached through the complete process of correct, beautiful singing.
