Travis M. Ramsey
Travis earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Maine and his master’s degree from Boston University. He splits his time between teaching instrumental, choral, and general music in Norwich, Vermont, and composing. His works have been performed by choruses, bands, and orchestras throughout New England. Recent commissioned works include music for Historic New England's Schoolhouse Documentary, the Wellesley (MA) Symphony Orchestra, Ensemble Zephyrus (Sharon, VT), and Dr. Russell’s Choral Art Society and University of Southern Maine Chorale. His next composing endeavors include a choral setting of Nancy Tillman's "On The Night You Were Born" for the Choral Art Society (accompanied by brass quintet) and "Triumphant Voltage Overload," a new work for band to be premiered in Cape Elizabeth, Maine.
Travis lives with his wife, two children, and two very musical cats in Etna, New Hampshire.
