I am pleased to introduce myself to you as the new Executive Director of The Philadelphia Singers. As we near our 40th anniversary of making wonderful music, I am honored to be affiliated with such a renowned group. I look forward to meeting you and thanking you in person for your involvement with The Singers. I recently attended two performances of The Philadelphia Singers Chorale, the expanded symphonic ensemble, with The Philadelphia Orchestra at the Kimmel Center for Hector Berlioz’s The Damnation of Faust and, again with The Orchestra, outdoors on a beautiful summer night at the Mann Music Center for Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana. Both performances provided wonderful opportunities to see and hear The Singers and appreciate their transcendent and transfixing music. With Music Director, David Hayes, Board President, Bob Mortensen, Board Members and staff, along with patrons and supporters, such as yourself, I look forward to increasing support, broadening participation, and widening the reach of The Philadelphia Singers both in the region and nationally as well. The Philadelphia Singers are a wonderful cultural treasure. Together we will embark on a riveting upcoming season offering a wide range of music that uniquely contributes to the vibrancy of the performing arts in Philadelphia. Please feel free to contact me as we work together to support and sustain The Philadelphia Singers. Thank you for your support, involvement and engagement!
