Terry Larsen, born and raised in Montana, taught music in public and private schools in Alaska, California, Connecticut, and Massachusetts for twenty-five years. He was chorus master for three regional symphonic chorales; the Napa Valley Symphony Chorus (CA), the Manchester Symphony Chorus (CT), and the Pioneer Valley Symphony Chorus (MA). Terry has sung with many fine choirs including the renowned professional ensemble Chanticleer, the San Francisco Choral Artists, the San Francisco Symphony Chorus, and The Singers' Project from the Pioneer Valley. He earned the Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Montana, Missoula and the Master of Music degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
Currently, Mr. Larsen resides with his wife and son in the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts where he is the Director of two adult choral ensembles; Schola Nova, a choral ensemble dedicated to the performance of sacred repertoire and Artists in Residence at Our Lady of the Valley Church in Easthampton, and the Cornucopia Consort. He teaches voice at the Northampton Community Music Center, and is the proprietor and instructor at LarGoVoce Music Studio in Easthampton. He is a soloist at South Congregational Church in Springfield, and a cantor in the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Northampton. Terry is the author of concert reviews written for the online site In The Spotlight.
