Ness Kolit is the official adult vocal ensemble of the town Ness Ziona that participates in the town's official ceremonies and in music festivals in Israel and abroad.
The Ness Kolit group was established in 2001and since then has been managed by Ronit Ben Ytzchak. This amateur group is made up of 24 skilled singers from all walks of life who join together once a week for the love of singing in a supportive and enjoyable atmosphere. Our repertoire is composed of a large variety of songs that have a common denominator: they are all Israeli folk songs musically arranged for the whole choir. The ensemble is directed by the composer, pianist and musical arranger Ilan Gilboa, one of the top musicians in Israel who has dedicated his special career to preserving and sharing Israeli folk songs. Ilan has worked with several top performers and vocal groups in Israel, and for the past 20 years has led the Gevatron vocal group, who won the prestigious Israel Prize for lifetime achievement in 2007. Every two years we perform in a premiere show with a special theme. This year we will sing songs from all over the world translated into hebrew.
