Matthew Caine is Director of Music at First Presbyterian Church, St. Petersburg, FL. Active as a conductor of professional, symphonic, and community choruses, Matt has also presented interest sessions at national, regional, and state conferences of the American Choral Directors' Association. His article, "A Biography and Conductor's Analysis of Todor Popov's Choral Cycles," was featured in the December 2010 issue of the Choral Journal.
Matt has served other churches in full-time and part-time capacities and as Adjunct Professor of Music at Claflin University and Allen University, as well as having taught courses at the University of South Carolina.
Matt holds the Doctor of Musical Arts in Conducting from the University of South Carolina, the Master of Music in Choral Conducting and Vocal Performance from the University of South Florida, the Master of Music Education in Instrumental Music from Samford University, and the Bachelor of Music in Church Music from Birmingham-Southern College.
