Conductor, teacher, and singer, Meredith Bowen has led a wide variety of singers and students in Michigan since 2000. She has collaborated with multiple ensembles and organizations to create innovative programming. Bowen is an active guest clinician and conductor and enjoys working with a diverse population of singers. Bowen is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Musical Arts in Choral Conducting at Michigan State University and is the Artistic Director of two ensembles: Sistrum - Lansing Women’s Chorus and Holland Chorale. Previously, Bowen was the Artistic Director for both the Battle Creek Girls Chorus and Battle Creek Community Chorus. She was recently selected as one of three conducting fellows from a national competition by Chorus America and was a semi-finalist for the 2014 choral conducting award from The American Prize. Bowen holds a B.S. in Music Education from West Chester University and an M.M. in Choral Conducting from Michigan State University.
