Paul S. Meers was Director of University Choirs at the American University of Beirut, and led the AUB Choir, The AUB Choral Society, and Ensemble Polyphonica from 2000 - 2010. He holds the D.Mus. degree in Choral Conducting and Literature from the Indiana University School of Music in the United States, and his doctoral document on the choral music of Louis Durey (1888 - 1979) was researched on a Fulbright Grant to France. He has conducted choirs and orchestras in university, school, church and community settings in the USA, The Middle East and Europe since 1980. He specializes in language and diction topics in the choral context, and has presented workshops on this, as well as conducting and choral techniques workshops, in the the Middle East, Europe, and the US.
