Jeffrey Brunner is a general music teacher and chorus director at Earl Elementary and Pine Forge Elementary schools in the Boyertown Area School District, in Boyertown, Pennsylvania. At Boyertown, he also is the vocal director and choreographer for the junior high musicals and district wide choral festivals. He was appointed the director of Choristers, a chorus within the Berks Classical Children’s Chorus of Reading, PA in 2008. In June 2009, he organized and directed the BC3 Summer Sing, an annual summer camp in downtown Reading, PA open at no charge to any student in grades 4-6 that possesses a love for singing. This April, Brunner will be directing the Dauphin County Middle School Honor Choir. Brunner earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education, cum laude, from Mansfield University in Mansfield, Pennsylvania, and earned a Master of Art in Music Education from Teacher’s College, Columbia University in New York City. He has studied conducting with Peggy Dettwiler at Mansfield University, and studied voice with Dorothy Stone in New York City, Gary Norden in New York City, and Tammy Black in Bally, Pennsylvania. He is an active member of MENC, PMEA, and ACDA.
