Dean Rishel
 A little about myself:
I was a public school music teacher for 36 years, sang opera chorus with the Opera Company of Philadelphia for 5 seasons, teach voice privately, and have been a busy composer and arranger for the last 15 years. All my music is on my website, www.deanrishelmusic.com where you can hear mostly all live performances of each song and see almost the entire pdf. Then if you want to buy a particular song, just pay for the number of copies you intend to make using Paypal and you will be able to download the entire pdf and print it out. I have written most of my music for local ensembles. My major work, "Requiem for the Children" was composed in 1995 in memory of the children who perished in the Oklahoma City bombing. Scored for mixed chorus, children's chorus and chamber orchestra, it was premiered by the Greater South Jersey Chorus and the Gloucester Cou8nty Children's Chorus in 1996 and sinc then has received several performances across the nation. It is handled by the Fleischer Collecdtion of the Public Library of Philadelphia, Kyle Smith, director.
I've been Artistic Director of The Greater South Jersey Chorus for 12 seasons and recently added the Artistic Directorship of The Philadelphia Voices of Pride, Philadelphia's only mixed - SATB - chorus for the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered community. I continue to compose new music and arrangements for these two ensembles and consider myself lucky that I have them as a vehicle for getting to hear my work...and sharing it with the public.
