Leslie Moruza Dripps is the Executive & Artistic Director of City Singers Children's Choirs in Richmond, Virginia and has been teaching with them since 2007. She received her bachelor's degree in music education from James Madison University and has taught choral music, general music and theater arts at the elementary, middle and high school levels. Heavily influenced by the Kodaly and Orff methods of music education, Leslie received her Orff certification from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2007. In addition to directing City Singers Children's Choirs, Leslie currently teaches private voice lessons and frequently directs all-area choral ensembles in Virginia and is becoming well known in the area as a clinician. She also is a performing singer-songwriter with her band "Moruza," gigging throughout Virginia to promote their three recording projects, and has had her music placed in the internationally released documentary "Cool It".
She and her husband eagerly welcome their second son in September 2011.
