My 1978 BA in Music from the University of California at Davis had a strong emphasis in composition. At the time, their educational philosophy was to treat each music student as if they were going to be a composer. At Westminster Choir College, where I received my MM in Church Music in 1982, the focus was on choirs. I went there to study organ with Joan Lippincott, and the next thing I knew I was singing in the Westminster Symphonic Choir and the New York Philharmonic in a Live From Lincoln Center performance of the Verdi Requiem. I don't remember when I've had so much fun with music as I did during the two years I attended WCC.
I love choirs and choral music, and as I embarked as my career as a church musician I began to compose music for my church choirs. I have several anthems available, including a Christmas cantata, all published on the Sibelius music website. I have links to them on my website, and they are all free of charge.
