The Bulgarian native conductor Krastin Nastev (b. 1980) made his first steps in the realm of music at the Plovdiv Boys’ Choir. Later he graduated the Music school with oboe and piano and continued studying fundamentals of conducting with Krikor Chetinyan at the Music Academy of his hometown. The Master degrees in choral and orchestral conducting he obtained from the National Music Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria.
For six seasons he was assistant conductor and chorus master of the Opera house of Plovdiv and of the Opera house of Antalya. In that time the University of Akdeniz invited him as lecturer in conducting.
He participated in various master classes led by the conductors Mark Shanahan, Bruno Aprea, Alan Hazeldine, Georgi Dimitrov, Vasil Kazandjiev, Ivan Anguélov, Miroslav Popsavov.
Krastin Nastev was finalist by the competition “Mariele Ventre” and “Franco Capuana” in Italy and for the Academic Bach Competition in Bulgaria.
He conducted choirs and opera houses across Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Turkey and Bulgaria.
Currently he conducted the zarzuela “La del Soto del Parral” in Teatre del Cercle (Barcelona) and participated as “maestro collaboratore” in Teatre del Sarria (Barcelona) in the production “Il Signor Bruschino” by G.Rossini.
