Julien Charbey is the Centre de musique baroque de Versailles’s (CMBV) administrator responsible for research and publications.
The CMBV is a French cultural institution. It has been mandated a national mission of rediscovery and promotion of the French musical heritage of the 17th and 18th centuries. It consists of:
- A research centre: the research laboratory gathers musicologists and other researchers in order to study the French repertoire of the 17th and 18th centuries;
The institution is the first French music of 17th and 18th centuries publisher, whose scores are frequently used by the best ensembles all around the world (Les Arts Florissants, Les Talents Lyriques, Le Concert Spirituel, etc.)
