The Brandywine Singers are celebrating their 20th Anniversary
Concert Season and ninth under the direction of Jonathan Kreamer.
Since its beginnings in 1993, under the leadership of founder
Professor Emerita Lois Williams, the ensemble has presented annual
winter and spring concerts of sacred and secular repertoire to
audiences in the Delaware Valley. Join us this, our 20th
anniversary year, for a fantastic season of choral music and
diverse events, including our Open House at the Chadds Ford
Historical Society this October, a concert at Valley Forge and
more!
The group’s repertoire includes: Duruflé Requiem; Fauré Requiem; Handel Messiah; Vivaldi Gloria and Beatus Vir; Schubert Mass in G; Brahms Liebeslieder-Walzer; Vaughn Williams Five Mystical Songs; Finzi In Terra Pax and Magnificat; Daniel Pinkham Christmas Cantata; Britten Ceremony of Carols and Hymn to St. Cecilia, Mozart Coronation Mass (K 317), Regina Coeli (K 276), and Requiem (K 626); and the Randall Thompson Alleluia; as well as the Bach Magnificat in D and Orff’s Carmina Burana which we presented during our 2008-2009 season and will again during the spring of 2013.
