Adam Lara is the Director of Human Resources for La Jolla Country Day School.
A veteran professional who redefines the traditional role of human resources, with his own brand of creative best practices, employee relations, benefits management, and workforce development through creative training models. Mr. Lara comes to La Jolla Country Day School with over a 13 years of experience human resources, spanning the fields of biomedicine, food and beverage, and international investment banking. He is a powerhouse of creative energy, and is best known for his technical and creative abilities in implementing HR information systems (HRIS/HRMS), and creating online training resources, design to streamline information.
Mr. Lara holds a bachelors in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego, in addition to holding the SPHR designation and being a Six Sigma black belt. In the past, he has successfully argued and defeated wage hour cases before the California Labor Board and resolved various complaints before the EEOC.
Awarded by the U.S. Congress for his invaluable service to the community on February 14, 1999, he continues to give back to the community by actively participating as a member of charitable organizations such as SERVE San Diego, the California Association for Bilingual Education, and the San Diego Symphony.
