Music on the Hill invites singers to join the 15th annual Summer Chorus to rehearse and perform the Schubert Mass in E-Flat. This is one of Schubert’s last major works, rarely performed but filled with the lyrical beauty for which he was admired. Artistic director Ellen Dickinson conducts. Students welcome!
Rehearsals are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7-9 p.m., starting June 27 at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 36 New Canaan Road, Wilton, CT. Concert: Thursday, July 27th at 8 p.m., also at St. Matthew’s.
No audition. Advance registration with voice part required to or 203-529-3133. Cost: suggested minimum contribution of $40; students $20.
All singers are welcome! The Summer Chorus includes those who are already in a choir (high school, church, or community ensemble) as well as singers who are looking for a new place to sing or who haven’t sung in a while.
