Extending its high standard of musical quality, Eagan Women of Note presents music to lift, inspire and encourage. The songs to be performed at this celebration are recognizable, including highlights from Broadway musicals, such as Impossible Dream from Man of La Mancha, Seasons of Love from Rent, and Sweet Charity’s Rhythm of Life. Also on the program are tender arrangements of The Rose, Sound of Silence and How Can I Keep from Singing, showing how music evokes personal passions. Members of the choir will share stories of how they reached and celebrated their own dreams.
“At a time when life appears to be full of challenges and hard work, music gives us the hope, inspiration, and celebration when we take our dreams seriously,” said Music Director Taylor Quinn. “It helps us reach our dreams and experience the fullness of life when we rejoice with song.” Quinn is in his fifth season as director of the nearly 60 member Eagan Women of Note choir.
Pieces like Moses Hogan’s Music Down in My Soul, Allister MacGillivray’s Here’s to Song, and the famous Coca Cola commercial jingle I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing are examples of the festive joy of singing.
Established in 1999, Eagan Women of Note www.eaganwomenofnote.org has members drawn from throughout the south metro area who share a love of singing, the single requirement for membership.
