Diablo Choral Artists is proud to present a concert fit for summer. One of the leading composers of the 19th century, Johannes Brahms, begins our jaunt toward summer’s eve with a set of partsongs. The sublime choral songs of the Impressionist master Claude Debussy and a set of passionate madrigals from the 17th century master Claudio Monteverdi bring us ever closer to the summer evening. Finally, the choir presents the centerpiece of the program: the Nocturnes from the modern master Morten Lauridsen.
