March 19-23, 2020
By invitation of the Lord Mayor of Dublin, choirs come together from across Europe, Ireland and North America to perform. Enliven the city with your music during individual concerts throughout Dublin and during a massed sing in St. Patrick’s Cathedral while audiences welcome the guest choirs with their famous Irish hospitality and enthusiasm!
The festival kicks off with a welcome reception at Dublin’s stately City Hall, during which you will meet other participating choirs, listen to a performance by a famed Irish ensemble, and be greeted by Dublin’s Lord Mayor. As your stay in Ireland continues, share your music with local singers during an exchange concert, and perform during a morning worship service at one of the city’s historic churches. There will be many additional opportunities for impromptu singing as you explore both bustling Dublin and the picturesque Irish countryside.
The festival culminates in a massed sing concert at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. After a chance to perform your own repertoire, all singers will join voices to perform two choruses from Händel’s Messiah and a well-loved Irish piece selected by the artistic director.
All participating conductors are invited to attend our Complimentary Directors Orientation Trip in October 2019, which allows you to preview festival components firsthand. I would love to discuss this exciting opportunity with you in more detail.

Please let me know when you will have a moment to further discuss the Dublin International Choral Festival by phone. I look forward to speaking with you soon!
