As the old saying goes: “You’re only as old as you feel” and, in this respect, many of us are deeply connected despite even huge generation gaps. There is so much we can learn from each other. Sometimes the older ones are disenchanted by what they see happening in the world today. Sometimes, the young of society are revving their cars in eagerness to embark on life’s journey, but feel that long-held traditions are holding their gears in neutral… But being a “person of the world” is always being “free and easy;” and truly any place we hang our hats is home at any time. This music celebrates the blissful blindness and naiveté of youth and the youthful mindset. It asserts a person’s freedom in the here and now and studies the idea of fraternity and frivolity with joyful curiosity. Centered in the performance are brilliant male chorus works by David Conte, Camille Saint-Saens, Ulf Långbacka, ECMC Composer-in-Residence Kyle Randall, and more! Please join us.
