Blue Heron has released five CDs of the Peterhouse repertoire, copied c. 1540 for Canterbury Cathedral, a project called “one of the most important early choral projects of our time” (Early Music Review (UK)). The fifth CD, released last March, has been selected as a 2017 Critic’s Choice in Gramophone. But there is much more wonderful music to explore in this large collection. Don’t miss this season’s program, featuring our premiere performance of the splendid Missa Veni sancte spiritus by Richard Pygott, whose amazing Salve regina appears on vol. 2 of the 5-CD set.
This concert will also be offered in Providence on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at 4 PM.
