Brings Christmas to Carversville
The New Hope – Solebury & Lambertville Community Choir presents its sixth annual winter concert at Carversville Christian Church in Carversville, PA on Saturday afternoon, December 16th at 3:00 p.m. The concert, entitled “Winter Landscapes”, will include a mixture of ensemble choral pieces, featured soloists, and some seasonal sing-alongs for choir and audience alike. Music for the NHSLCC performance comes from a variety of musical styles and composers, including Faure, Webber, Wood, Seeger, Crabtree, Wagner, Mallon, White, Alexander, Friedell and more.
NHS&LCC is made up of members of the immediate New Hope, Solebury and Lambertville communities as well as several singers from the surrounding areas. The Choir is under the direction of Episcopal minister of music, male a cappella group Cordus Mundi founder, and New Hope resident Rick Rosen.
“We truly are a community choir, we’re continuing to grow in our fourth year, and we’re representative of this unique place where we live. The choir is made up of a wide variety of people and personalities, with a wide variety of musical skill sets” says Rosen. “The all-inclusive community idea is to sing an equally wide variety of music, to match the music to our abilities while still challenging ourselves, and to then end up with quality music and a truly fun, enjoyable and rewarding experience for everyone, including our audience.”
