The Raincross Master Chorale will take listeners on a journey around the world at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 7 at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 4495 Magnolia Ave., Riverside. Tickets are $15.
This concert has an international focus, with favorites such as “Waltzing Matilda” from Australia; Si Vas Para Chile (If you go to Chile); and a Zambian folk tune called Bonse Aba; among many others. The chorale will share the stage with the Inland Empire Women’s Chorus, who will perform six pieces, including “Java Jive.”
Door prizes and refreshments are also part of the concert.
The Raincross Master Chorale, a 60-voice choir, is open by audition. It is directed by William Brakemeyer and accompanied by Sergio Leiva. Proceeds from concerts allow the group to give scholarships to young music students. Adelaide Naegle and Leslie Martinez will perform solos at this concert.
“We plan to keep you uplifted, inspired, entertained and rewarded with our musical tapestry from around the globe,” said Brakemeyer.
