Renaissance Voices, directed by G. Kevin Dewey, will present its annual Alumnae Concert on Sunday, June 4, 4 p.m. at North Congregational Church, 36520 Twelve Mile, Farmington Hills, Michigan. The group is celebrating 25 years as a women’s ensemble.
The concert will feature Johannes Brahms’ “Vier Gesänge” (with harp and French horns), “Three Mountain Ballads” (arranged by Ron Nelson), and “Messe Basse” (a short mass setting by Gabriel Fauré). The ensemble will also perform works by César Cui, G. Kevin Dewey, Jacqueline Hairston, Thomas Morley, Efrem Podgaits, and Paul Simon.
The women of Renaissance Voices enjoy performing the finest in treble choral literature. The group, based at Henry Ford College in Dearborn, Michigan, has taken four overseas concert tours and released three CDs.
