Vox Philia joins with the choirs of Penn State (Berks) and Lincoln Universities and Berks Sinfonietta for two performances celebrating music of Black History Month. On the program are:
William Grant Still’s “The Wailing Woman,” set to the text of the poem by Verna Arvey – in its third performance ever.
Choral music by Rosephanye Powell, Tommy Dorsey and others, followed by the regional premiere of Florence Price’s “Symphony in E minor.”
First performance is Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 7:30 pm at:
