Dear Colleague,
The Voice and Choral faculty of the South Carolina School of the Arts at Anderson University invite you and your student soloists to the Anderson University Vocal Masterclass on Friday, October 27, 2017.
This free event will help your students develop their voices and allow them to see Anderson’s vocal and choral professors at work. A limited number of student participants will have the opportunity to perform in the workshop’s supportive yet challenging environment. The masterclass features a performance by some of AU’s best singers and the AU Concert Choir and concludes with dinner in our upscale new student center.
For students considering music study at AU, singing in the Vocal Performance Masterclass can count as the solo portion of the scholarship audition. There will also be an opportunity for interested students to complete the other portions of the scholarship audition process, so participants can attend the masterclass and audition in one trip to campus. Students can tell us if they wish to audition when they complete the registration form.
Please encourage your strong traditional/classical vocal soloists to register for the event. This email contains the necessary links, so you can simply forward it. We will provide dinner for student participants and for you if you can join them. (Your student will be asked to let us know if you are attending when they register, so you do not have to send us anything.) Students may also invite their parents or guardians to join us. This would be a wonderful opportunity for all of you to see what AU has to offer and to experience the warm atmosphere of our beautiful campus.
Below you will find a schedule for the event, a link to a registration form to share with your students, and AU’s vocal and choral faculty. If you have questions, please email Dr. Richard A. Williamson. We hope to hear from you soon!
