I’m try to determine what my chorus will need to perform the 2 piano/percussion version of “Carmina Burana”. The Schott website isn’t quite clear enough. I’ve got the info on the vocal and choral scores. There’s also a score for this version listed – presumably a full score. I’ve also found a percussion part “in score format”.
Since the piece requires 5 percussionists, do I need to get 5 copies of the percussion part?
What do the pianists use? The full score?

Dear Alan – I haven’t seen any response to your inquiry. You will need to order five copies of the percussion score for a performance (even though all five parts are listed in each score). Pianists use the full two piano score…of course you know the vocal parts are exactly the same. We have a lending library if that is of help. Check out http://www.ChoralArtistsSarasota.org. Get in contact with Exec Dir Susan Burke and she can assist.
