I would appreciate hearing from church music directors (or community choir directors) who have conducted Jenkins’ *The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace* in its reduced orchestration version. If there is already a thread on this topic, I would appreciate your directing me to it.
1. How did your congregation receive the work?
2. Did you omit any movements (with proper permission, of course) out of deference to children or other sensitive listeners?
3. Were you satisfied with balance between voices and orchestra? How many singers did you have? Among those, how many were trained singers?
4. Is there anything else you would like to share about your experience ?
Many thanks in advance!
