Our worship team has asked me to explore the idea of a children’s church musical. My hesitation is the musical quality of the repertoire keeping the same standards as the Christian choral music education curriculum we have had for 20 years. We currently sing the music published by Choristers Guild, Boosey and Hawkes, Morningstar, Earth Songs, Augsburg etc. I have heard that Alan Pote and Tom Long have written several musicals through Hope Publishing. There are MANY to choose from, and our budget is limited. Can anyone recommend an Alan Pote/Tom Long musical that would work well for a trained children’s choir and live accompaniment? (No showtrax) Any Suggestions please? Thank you. Please respond to email@example.com.
