I’m preparing a concert with my women choir (20 singers) with as central theme: Tango and Passion! Do you have any proposals for interesting music for both themes: at one side the’ Miserere, Stabat, Painfull’ song; at the other side the ‘Latin, Warm, Dancing, Bandoneon sound’. It can be a capella or with chamber orchestra. Please let me know your proposals!
Rudy – I would highly recommend “Tango to Evora”, SSAA, arr. Jon Washburn, published by Walton Music/Hal Leonard HL.8501712. It is such a warm, sensual piece and it would be perfect for your women’s choir. You might also want to consider “Mata Del Anima Sola”, SSAA+Soprano Solo, by Antonio Estevez, published by Earthsongs ES.S-128 You can probably view performances of both pieces on YouTube.
