I’m looking for music – a cappella or accompanied – for women’s chorus plus children’s choir (unchanged voices).
The women’s chorus part can be any voicing, but I’d prefer SSAA (some splits are ok). The children’s part can be unison to three part.
I’m open to any topic, but certainly anything that represents the different perspectives of adults and children would be a lovely touch.
Thanks!May 10, 2017 at 10:21 am #536728

You might like to take a look at SwirlyMusic.org, which showcases music by independent, self-publishing composers. Pieces are searchable by genre, theme, voice combination, etc. including scores and live recordings.
I was going to suggest “Three Flower Songs” – a cappella settings for SSA of English poems on the theme of time (see https://www.swirlymusic.org/music/choral-music/gordon-thornett-three-flower-songs/) or “Hidden Memories” – a pentatonic setting of words by Linda Marcus, but having re-read your post, it seems you are looking particularly for pieces that combine women’s & children’s choirs. If you like “Hidden Memories” (also viewable on the Swirly Music site), I’m sure I could produce a version that incorporates a children’s choir, using the echo effects already in the piece.
Linda Marcus and I have also produced a lighthearted secular seasonal piece called “Christmas Time in the Eyes of a Child”. There is a version for SATB plus children’s choir, but again this could be adapted to suit your requirements. Do let me know if I can be of any assistance.
