The Memorial Day Festival Chorus will honor America’s Armed Forces and Celebrate the JFK Centennial at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on May 25-29, 2017.
As a participating choir, here’s what to expect at this festival:
• The distinction and honor of singing directly for, and in tribute to, America’s veterans, in the internationally-renowned John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
• Singing in the Kennedy Center’s official commemoration of the John F. Kennedy Centennial.
• The once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work with Dr. Craig Jessop, one of America’s foremost choral conductors.
• The feeling of pride and patriotism from singing with the United States Air Force Orchestra.
• Participate in a special Festival Wreath-Laying Ceremony on the National Mall to honor veterans.
• Sing as part of the televised Opening Ceremony of America’s National Memorial Day Parade at the National Archives Building.
• Attend the PBS Broadcast of the National Memorial Day Concert on the U.S. Capitol West Lawn.
